The Middlesex Basketball League is one of the two main competitive adult leagues in London Basketball and is organised and administered along the same lines as the EBL. Clubs who aspire to playing in the EBL should consider playing in the MBL's Men's Premier Division first, as it easily rivals EBL's Division 3 (and sometimes Division 2) competitively.
For the last two seasons, the entire League was operated on a Central Venue League basis at Brunel University, Kingston Lane, Uxbridge, Middlesex UB8 3PH on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The success of this project was overwhelmingly endorsed by the Members and the MBL will be run on the same basis for the foreseeable future.
Currently the MBL only caters at a grass roots level for competitive Men's basketball. There are two Divisions at present - Men's Premier and Men's First. However, it is hoped that Women's basketball will also be played competitively next season, should there be sufficient interest. It is also hoped to start a junior development programme at some stage in the future.
Other new competitions being considered for the future include a U23 Men's Division and a U19 London Colleges Division.
